About Get Your Pink Back
Get Your Pink Back is a women's apparel and lifestyle brand founded by Lindsey Gurk, built around the belief that women deserve to reconnect with the parts of themselves that make them feel most like themselves.
Our apparel is an extension of that message. We create thoughtful, comfortable, high-quality clothing designed for everyday life. We believe great apparel should look good, feel even better, and hold up long after the first wear. As our brand continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced apparel creative leader to help shape the direction of our future collections.
The Opportunity
We're seeking a Head of Apparel Design & Collections to lead the creative development, product selection, and planning of GYPB's seasonal collections and product drops. This is an opportunity for someone with exceptional creative instincts, deep apparel knowledge, and the ability to turn an initial idea into a complete, cohesive collection.
We're not looking for someone who simply executes instructions or coordinates projects. We're looking for someone who can take ownership, develop original concepts, make informed product recommendations, and confidently lead the collection-development process.
You'll work closely with our founder, business leadership, and established production partner to develop collections that reflect GYPB's identity while introducing fresh ideas and thoughtful new directions.
Our founder will retain final creative approval, but this position will have substantial autonomy and responsibility for developing and executing approved collections.
What You'll Do
Collection Concepts & Creative Direction
- Lead the creative direction and development of seasonal collections, drops, and new product concepts.
- Establish collection themes, aesthetics, color palettes, and garment assortments.
- Research emerging apparel trends, seasonal color directions, silhouettes, and opportunities relevant to our audience.
- Create Pinterest mood boards, collection inspiration boards, and visual presentations.
- Recommend garment styles, colorways, and design directions that create a cohesive collection.
- Present complete collection concepts to our founder and leadership team for review and final approval.
- Confidently contribute fresh ideas, creative recommendations, and alternative approaches.
Apparel Selection & Product Development
- Identify and recommend garment styles, silhouettes, and premium-quality blanks for each collection.
- Evaluate fabrics, garment weight, fit, construction, comfort, durability, and overall quality.
- Collaborate with our established production partner to source and evaluate garment options.
- Coordinate sample selections, reviews, revisions, and final product recommendations.
- Help determine artwork placement, garment finishes, and overall product presentation.
- Recognize sourcing or production challenges and proactively recommend alternative solutions.
- Balance creative vision, garment quality, customer preferences, and commercial considerations.
Collection Planning & Management
- Develop and maintain a forward-looking calendar of collections and product drops, planning several months in advance.
- Oversee multiple collections at different stages of development simultaneously.
- Establish clear milestones and deadlines for product development, samples, creative approvals, and production readiness.
- Coordinate directly with our production partner to monitor progress and address challenges.
- Prepare organized collection presentations, product selections, mood boards, timelines, and supporting materials.
- Identify potential delays, communicate concerns early, and recommend solutions.
- Take ownership of approved collection plans and ensure projects remain on track through launch.
Creative & Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with our social media, email marketing, and operations teams to align collection development with launch calendars.
- Develop collection-level creative direction and provide product information and visual guidance for marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate with leadership on photoshoot requirements, garment availability, product presentation, and creative timelines.
- Ensure teams have the information and direction needed to support successful launches.
This position is not responsible for daily social media management, editing reels, publishing content, or managing paid advertising. Those responsibilities belong to our dedicated marketing team.
What We're Looking For
- Significant professional experience in apparel design, collection development, creative merchandising, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing cohesive apparel collections from initial concept through finished product.
- Exceptional creative taste and a strong understanding of color, silhouettes, styling, and collection cohesion.
- Deep knowledge of apparel fabrics, garment construction, fit, and quality.
- Experience working with apparel manufacturers, suppliers, or established production partners.
- Strong understanding of premium casualwear and everyday lifestyle apparel.
- Excellent organizational skills and experience managing overlapping product-development timelines.
- Ability to independently lead projects, anticipate challenges, and make thoughtful recommendations.
- Strong communication skills and confidence collaborating directly with company founders and production partners.
Experience We'd Especially Value
- Women's DTC apparel and lifestyle brands.
- Elevated basics, heavyweight fleece, premium sweatshirts, hoodies, and matching sets.
- Seasonal collection development and assortment planning.
- Apparel trend forecasting and color palette development.
- Experience working with smaller, growing, founder-led brands.
- An established portfolio demonstrating personally developed collection concepts and completed garments.
What Success Looks Like
The right person will take meaningful ownership of GYPB's collection-development process. We envision someone who can independently develop a collection concept, establish its creative direction, select garments and colors, coordinate development with our production partner, and present a cohesive, well-organized proposal for founder approval.
Once approved, this individual will lead the collection through the development process, maintain timelines, resolve challenges, and keep all parties informed. Our goal is to establish a consistent, forward-looking collection calendar while maintaining the quality, creativity, and thoughtful product selection that define GYPB.
Working With GYPB
This is a remote, part-time leadership opportunity offering approximately 15–20 hours per week, with the potential for a long-term working relationship. You'll collaborate directly with our founder and business leadership while working alongside an established team of experienced production and marketing partners.
We're looking for someone who values ownership, creative independence, strong communication, and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping a growing apparel brand.
How to Apply
Please submit your résumé or professional background along with a portfolio demonstrating apparel collections you've personally helped develop.
We'd especially love to review examples of:
- Collection mood boards, color palettes, and creative concepts.
- Garment assortments, styles, and blanks you've personally selected or developed.
- Finished apparel collections brought from concept to market.
- Your specific creative and product-development responsibilities on those projects.
Please also include your availability for an ongoing 15–20-hour weekly commitment.
We look forward to learning more about your experience and creative approach.
